My Puffy-Lion Dog

His name is Omits. He is a Chow Chow and is a sturdily built dog, square in profile, with a broad skull and small, triangular, erect ears with rounded tips. He has a very dense double coat that is either smooth or rough. His fur is particularly thick in the neck area, giving it a distinctive ruff or mane appearance. His coat is cinnamon. His eyes are typically deep set and almond shaped. He has an unusual blue-black/purple tongue and very straight hind legs. One other distinctive feature is his curly tail. He has thick hair and lies curled on its back.

Well, he likes to eat, sleep and play with us. He is extremely sweet and lovely. He even sleeps with us on our bed. Sometimes, early in the morning, he puts his tongue to our cheeks. However, he can be barely taught of such commands. He tends to display discernment of strangers but fiercely protective of us, owners. He is mostly active when at night. While during daytime, he always sleeps unless a stranger knocks at our door.

This is how he looks when we've had him groomed.

He is also friends with our cat named 'Smiley' but sometimes, he wants to have a fight with Smiley especially if he is jealous.

In this picture, he is in my mom's bed with my mom and youngest brother.

This is how he looks like when he sleeps. He sometimes smirks loudly.

We are so grateful to have him. He is a blessing and a stress-reliever. We can do anything to him and he won't bite us. :)  Hope you enjoy his cuteness-overload pictures. Till' next blog. Bye. :)

My Top Horror Films

Devil Inside - This is a 2012 American supernatural horror film.It is a documentary-style film about a woman who becomes involved in a series of exorcisms during her quest to determine what happened to her mother, a woman who murdered three people as a result of being possessed by a demon. Well, it was remarkable for me because it was said in the movie that this was inspired by true events and the case is still not solved.
Insidious poster.jpg
Insidious - This  is an American supernatural horror film. The story centers on a couple whose son inexplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for ghosts in an astral dimension. It scared me because one of my friends who also once had a gift like the child has said that the scenes in this movie were true.
The Healing (film).jpg
The Healing - This is a 2012 Filipino horror suspense film. It's a story of Filipino tradition wherein people are asking for help on treatment of diseases. A news about the miraculous works of a faith healer spread all over attracting the attention of people suffering from various illness coming from everywhere. This is a usual story in the Philippines especially in the rural places wherein lots of traditional practices are still being done.

These horror movies really scared me and stayed into my mind badly. But still, I want to watch these horror movies to conquer my fear. Anyway, thanks for reading! :D

My First Job Interview

Have you experienced going to a job interview? If you do, you can relate to what I'm gonna share.

My first job interview was when I had my internship in a 5-star hotel. I can say that it was one of the terrifying moments in my life. As a teenager, at first I was not serious about this interview thingy. I didn't have any idea on how this interview works. I thought it was just like an interview in a university. But obviously, no. Thank God, in our school, we had a professional development which opened my eyes towards the business world and real world.

The day before my interview, I was really nervous and I kept practising in my room talking to myself in front of the mirror. Well, it was effective because it gave me such confidence during the interview.

Anyway, we arrived in the place on time. I and my 3 classmates were there. We waited for 30 minutes on the guard house because the guard had to confirm it. After that, we were called and proceeded to the training room. Then we were given an exam. We were just 2 who passed the exam so we took the initial interview.

When I was waiting for the initial interview, I was totally nervous! Actually, from the moment I entered the back office of the hotel, I was nervous. Then it had been doubled when I was in the training room. And during this time, it has been tripled! And I did all of the tips I know on how to deal with the nervousness I was feeling and unfortunately, some worked but some didn't. I really wanted to shout to ease my tense. Thank God, I controlled it when I was in the initial interview already. I think what made me calm was my preparation. I just thought of the efforts and hardship I and my lecturers had when I was preparing for the interview. And because of that, I passed the initial interview. Then I proceeded to final interview and it went well; I answered the questions properly. Finally, I passed the job interview.

You know what I've realised in this experience is the importance of the preparation. Since then, whenever I have my job interview, I can conquer my fear and nervousness. So for those people who will have their first job interview, be prepared badly and good luck.  Thank you for reading my blog. God bless. :)

My 5 Childhood Desserts

1. HALO-HALO - This is the most popular dessert in Filipino cuisine. The classic halo-halo composes of the best kind food items you normally would not think is suitable for a dessert such as gulaman, corn flakes, rice crispies, nata de coco, ubebananas, and more. These items are all placed upon a bed of crushed ice, drizzled with evaporated milk and topped with a scoop of ube or vanilla ice cream. Now, I'm hungry. I just ate. -_-

2. Suman at Latik - This is delicacy made of glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk (suman), drizzled with a thick syrupy caramelized coconut cream (latik). This is my favorite to eat in the morning. Yum!!!
3. Turon - This is a made of thinly sliced bananas (preferably saba or Cardaba bananas) and a slice of jackfruit, coated with brown sugar, rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried. You can also partner it with a caramel sauce. Oh dear. I want to eat my monitor now.

4. Leche Flan - A very simple dessert but stunning! This is a staple of all Philippine parties and fiestas. It’s a simple custard made from eggs, milk and sugar, with the golden brown garnish of a thin layer of molten white sugar on top. It also goes well with the halo-halo. Now, I'm craving.
5. Pastillas -  This is made from evaporated milk or milk powder with some mixtures to make it like a dough. The dough will be formed into small shape and be coated with sugar.

Are you hungry now? Cause I am. Haha. :D Anyway, these are also the desserts I won't forget in my life. These highlight my childhood. Thank you for reading. Til' next blog! :D

My Bucket List in Australia

1. Sydney. This Is the main entry point in Australia for most people, and the city offers many interesting sites to visit such as the Opera House, Darling Harbour with marine aquarium, lots of Shopping malls, museums, and it worth a visit to the other side of the bay including the Zoo and the beach of Mainly. Visiting the downtown tower (Sydney Tower)  will have a complete view of the city from the top. The Blue Mountains will provide a beautiful panorama of the valley. The nightlife in Sydney is one of the most active in all Australia.

2. Cairns. This is a small city with many things you can do around, they are fantastic, such as the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park. What a lovely place!!!

3. Gold Coast. This is a coast city with pretty beaches, special for surfers and beach lovers. Other attractions are many Theme Parks and the busy night life in Surfers Paradise. The surrounding mountains and National Parks should not be missed with many waterfalls, flora and fauna to be appreciated. I'm so excited to go here! :D

4. Fraser Island This is a very nice and special place access only with 4 wheel drive cars or tours driving on the sand. Nature at it's best, spetacular clear lakes and lots to see, fish and relax.

5. Tasmania. The nature is the highlight, with spectacular beaches. The mountains and lagoons are well known for their beauty and wild life, and there are many historical places from the time. Tasmania was a biggest prison for British convicts.I love historical places! :D

So this is my bucket list and I'm so excited to go to these beautiful places!!! :D Thank you guys! Til' next blog.

The Future Awaits!

As a 17-year old student, I proudly say I have gained a lot of experiences in life. It started when I’d entered college at Australian College of Learning. In my school, we’re having Australian Curriculum which means we’re going to have an internship in Australia after two years. We also have an internship every year here in the Philippines. We do not just study theories but we also apply it through OJT. In this way, we are being trained for the future.

Before I entered college, I hadn’t thought of my career. All I could’ve thought of was my volleyball career. In fact, I had a try-out in a college for men’s volleyball team and I got accepted. It was just I failed the exam of that college. Although, I passed the reconsideration of the college but my calling was really in ACL.

I was a former student assistant in our school. To be particular, I was in the Admin Department and Marketing Department. It was actually my first time to be involved with these serious things. I must admit that I’ve gained lots of skills and knowledge in this work especially when it comes to administration. Furthermore, I had an internship in The Bellevue Manila. I was in Sales & Marketing department and Marketing & Communications department. I think it was not that hard for me to adopt new things because I already had some ideas and was exposed on how to be in a workplace.

As you can see, we are not those typical college students who experience ‘College Life’ – Party Life & Night Life. Although, we still have a social life but we think more of our future career. In fact, we often daydream about our future. Actually, whenever I go, I always think of what it is like to be away from your family. I mean what would be my life in the future. I don’t really have an idea but one thing is for sure and that is, God is always there for me. Therefore, I could face all the challenges I will have in the future.

For those students who have read this, don’t be contended of what you have right now. Always think of your future. DREAM BIG BUDDY! As early as now, start to build your career. Don’t wait for that ‘Too Late’ to come. Party is just there. Don’t be so Y.O.L.O. Your future starts today, not tomorrow.

Well, that’s all for this blog. You’ll be expecting more blogs from me. Bye! :D
